Last night about twelve o’clock D. A. Goodin, aged 48 years, died of cancer of the stomach at his home on East College Street. Mr. Goodin had been ill for some time but had been confined to his bed but a few weeks. Mr. Goodin was the founder of the American Wheel Company and was the superintendent of the whole concern until his failing health compelled him to resign. He took as lighter work the superintendency of the Crawfordsville branch and held the position at the time of his death. Mr. Goodin came here but about a year ago but had made many friends by his gentlemanly conduct on all occasions. Rev. G. W. Switzer will conduct short services at the house tomorrow morning and the remains will be shipped to Indianapolis for interment on the afternoon train.
