Mary M. Goings, 90, Romney and formerly of Veedersburg died 12:30 a.m. Thursday in her home. Mrs. Goings co-owned and worked alongside her late husband on their farm in the Romney/New Richmond area. She was baptized in the former Old Kentuck Baptist Church near Veedersburg. She was a member of Jackson Heights Home Demonstration Club. She attended Veedesrburg High School. She was born July 28, 1917 in Veedersburg to Ernest J. and Alta M. (Patton) Forrest. She married William (Bill) G. Goings June 8, 1935. He died May 10, 2001. Survivors include sons Forrest W. "Sonny" (Marcia) Goings, New Richmond and Jerry (Becky) Goings, Veedersburg; daughters Alta Mae (Pat) Wilson, Manistee, Mich; Billie Joan House, Attica; Mary L. "Weezie" (Larry) Shultz, Veedersburg and Myra L. Goings, New Richmond; b rother-in-law, Dean Goings, Daytona, Fla; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Olive Edwards and brother Robert Forrest. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown, with Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Burial will be at Waynetown masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 48 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
