John Goff went from Browns Valley to Indianapolis Friday. He took a room at hotel and asked to be called at 7. The callboy thought that he answerd, but nothing being seen of him until night, the door of his room was forced, when he was found lying ont he bed in an unconscious state. He was removed to a hospital where he lived until Monday morning. His wife, a dau. of GW Todd, was notified and was with him at his death. Poison was suspected but an autopsy showed the cause of death to be congestion of the brain. Fun. serv. were held at the Browns Valley Baptist Church, Wed. aft. by Rev. LF Galey. Interm. at Indian Creek. He was a painter by trade and leaves two daughters.
