"Whitesville News" -- Jennie Baxter was born in Jefferson County, Indiana Oct 10, 1850 and came to Montgomery county with her parents May 6, 1874. She was married to Jasper F. Goble June 21, 1883, and died March 14, 1896, aged 45 years, 5 months and 4 days. To them was born one daughter, who preceded her to the angel land. She united with the Christian Union Church here about 15 years ago and lived a devoted Christian life. She has been an invalid for near 11 years and bore her afflictions as only a Christian woman could. She recognized that the end was near and prayed fervently. She was conscious to the lat moment and gave her husband instructions regarding her burial, which were carried out to the letter. The high esteem in which she was held was duly shown by the large number of friends and neighbors who gathered at the house to pay their last sad respects. The bereaved husband, brother and aged parents have the deepest sympathy of the entire community. Burial at Harshbarger's Cemetery Monday. - kbz
