Mrs. Hattie R. Goble, 82, more familiarly known as "Aunt Hattie" died Sunday evening at 9 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter Nutt, 703 S. Elm St. She had been in failing health since last September and death was attributed to complications. Born October 22, 1870 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Richard and Lida Chasteen. She was married to Jasper Goble, who preceded her in death in 1926. Mrs. Goble was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church and was educated in the Crawfordsville schools. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Goble had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Nutt. Surviving, are two daughters, Mrs. Nutt and Mrs. Harry Hillard of Hollywood, Fla.; a son, Paul Goble, Norfolk, Va.; a foster-daughter, Geneva Smith; a foster son, Carroll Moody; a twin sister, Mrs. Rose Platt; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren and numerous relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Proffitt and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Hattie Goble were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Robert D. Braby of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church officiated. Assisting at the rites as pallbearers were Joseph Dupay, Walter Miller, Sanford Nutt, Ora Joelly, Lon Todd and Frank Jones. Those who helped with the flowers were Faye Nutt, Mary Jones, Catherine Schweltzer, Grace Todd, Elizabeth Brown, Hazel Platt, Birdie Booe, June Zeller, Gladys Frees, Effie Stewart, Jessie Hall, Ida Maltzberg, Hazel McCormick, Josephine Matricia, Pearl Williams, Carrie Martin, Helen Curtain, Minnie Crockett and Kitty Platt.
