GOBEL, Daniel C. - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Waynetown, July 9 – Daniel C. Gobel, 85 died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nora Shelton in Elmdale, six miles northeast of here, at 9:30 o’clock this morning.  Mr. Gobel was born near Whitesville Aug 17, 1851 and married Mary C. Howard in 1873.  He had spent his entire life in Montgomery County being a member of the Smartsburg Christian Church.  Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Shelton and Miss Laurene Gobel of Crawfordsville and four sons: William D of Crawfordsville; James M. and Earl A, both of Pasadena, Cal and Guy of Lafayette.  Funeral services will be conducted from the Elmdale Methodist Church at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon the Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating.  Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant cemetery.   ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
