Omer W. Glover, 76, a traffic crossing watchman for city schools during recent years, died of a heart attack at 5 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital. Glover was taken to the hospital at 7 p.m. Wednesday from his resident at 7:02 W. Wabash Ave. He had been in failing health the past year. He guarded the school crossing at Wabash Avenue and Blair Street. Born Sept 9, 1885, near Fincastle, he was the son of Robert and Amanda Hinkle Glover. He was married Oct 12, 1912 to Mabel Bushong, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge, OES Eagles and POS of A. He worked for the THI&E Traction Co. from 1905 until the company went out of business in 1931. He was then employed by RR Donnelley & Sons until his retirement at which time he took the traffic job. Surviving are a daughter, Marie F. Martin and brother, Leo Glover, both of Crawfordsville, two nieces and nephew. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Rev. Clarence Loveland officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday. -kz
