Thomas W. Glenn, of Shelburn, was seriously wounded by a pistol ball on Sunday. He is in the livery business there and had started to drive two miners to an adjoining town. They were drinking and one of them had a revolver, which he was flourishing. Glenn made him put it up, but he got it out again. In some way it was discharged, the ball entering the right side of Glenn's neck and lodging in the left cheek. He was not rendered unconscous by the terrible wound, and is now resting with good hopes for recovery. The ball will not be removed at present. Glenn, whose real name is Thomas Welch, was raised by William Glenn and married a daughter of James Todd. When the newspaper report reached here, Mr. Glenn and Jos. Todd immediately started for Shelburn. They returned on Wed. leaving him in a satisfactory condition. There was no intention on the part of the man who shot him - typed by kbz
