Glenn - James Littleton

The funeral of James L. Glenn occurred at Freedom church, Tuesday June 21st. Mr. Glenn was born in Shelby Co, Ky April 3, 1826. His father, Thomas Glenn, came to Indiana and settled on the farm now owned by William T. Glenn, when James was about 3 years old. He united with the Freedom Baptist church 1840 and lived a Christian life from that time to the day of his death. His first wife, who was the mother of his two children died in 1866. His son Henry died 6 years ago and his daughter, Mrs. Lorena Fullenwider survives him. He was married to Mrs. Carrie Rhubottom in 1881 and lived with her, 3 mi. NW of Rockville until his death. He leaves a daughter, five sisters and one brother, besides his widow and many other relatives to mourn his loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. JM Kendall after which the body was laid to rest in the Freedom Cemetery.

Mr. Glenn was born in Shelby County, Kentucky, April 3, 1826. His father, Thomas Glenn, came to Indiana and settled on the farm now owned and occupied by Wm. T. Glenn, when James was about three years old. He united with the Freedom Baptist Church in 1840, and lived a Christian life from that time to the day of his death.
His first wife, who was the mother of his two children, died in the year 1866. His son, Henry, died six years ago and his daughter, Mrs. Lorena Fullenwider, survives him. He was married to Mrs. Carrie Rhubottom in 1881 and lived with her, three miles northeast of Rockville, until his death. He leaves a daughter, five sisters and one brother, besides his widow and many other relatives to mourn his loss.
