William D. Glascock 96, of Indianapolis formerly of Waveland passed away Sunday evening, August 4, 2024 at Hoosier Village. William was born August 10, 1927 in Waveland to the late Jacob Synder and Rosemary (Bayless) Glascock.  William was a 1945 Graduate of Waveland High School and was a 1954 graduate of Wabash College. After high school he proudly served in the U.S. Navy from July 12, 1945 to August 31, 1952. While serving in the Navy he played a key role in the intelligence area during the WWII and Korena War. He was stationed in Adak, Alaska and Yokosoka, Japan. On August 12, 1950 William married Pauline Search who survives. They have shared 73 years of marriage. William went to work at Jefferson Life Insurance for many years. In his free time he would officiate swimming events while serving on multiple business boards and as a Deacon of his church. He also enjoyed watching sports especially basketball. William is survived by his wife of 73 years Pauline Glascock, sons; William Dean (Rebecca) Glascock, Barry G. (Wendy) Glascock, Todd H. (Mary) Glascock, a daughter Dawn Whitworth (Stephen), 10 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. William is preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Freedom Cemetery directly across the road from Freedom Baptist Church in Waveland, IN.
