North Salem, Nov. 28 --Calvin GIPSON, 73, died in bed at his home south of North Salem at 11 Wednesday night. He and his wife had been retired for some time when she noted his movements and attempted to arouse him from what she thought was a bad dream. He expired in a few minutes and Mrs. Gipson was forced to go alone across corn fields to summon aid. Funeral and burial were held Friday. Surviving are the widow, Lee Page Gipson and one son, Verner Gipson of Chicago. Mr. Gipson was the second death by heart disease in this community. Frank Thompson, another well known citizen died the same day while out in the corn field.
