Joseph Gillis, 79, a carpenter for 50 years, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home Tuesday night. Survivors are his widow, formerly Mattie E. Brown, and three sons, Paul, Clyde and Alfred Gillis, all of Crawfordsville, with two brothers and two sisters, Lonnie Gillis, Crawfordsville, Elbert Gillis, Lafayette, Mrs. Cynthia Alston, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Nettie Perkins, New Market. – thanks so much to Kim H
