Rebecca E. Gilliland, wife of James G. Gilliland died at 6:15 this morning of kidney complications aged 64. Her health has been failing for 5 years and her last illness has confined her to her couch for six weeks. She was born in Ky and came here, where she married and settled near Brown's Valley where she lived with her husband until 3 years ago when they moved to Longview. For 20 years she has been a free thinking Baptist and a good Christian mother. She leaves three children: Mrs. Scott Wray of this city; John W. of Waveland and Charley B. of Brown's Valley. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. SK Fuson of Marshall, assisted by Rev. Leonard Galey of this city, at the residence on Thursday at 10 o'clock. Interment at Masonic cemetery.
