Leonard M. Gilliland, 65, died early Tuesday morning in his Biloxi, Miss., home. Born in New Market Nov. 2, 1903, he was the son of Samuel and Martha Gilliland. Gilliland lived in Crawfordsville most of his life, worked in sales and, as a restaurant owner at one time. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include two sons, Don Gilliland of Crawfordsville, and Bob Gilliland of Greenecastle, and two grandsons. Burial will be in Biloxi, Miss. - kbz
