Charles Bennett Gilliland passed away this morning at 7:30 o'clock at his home 2004 N. Central Avenue, Indianapolis. He was the son of James G. and Rebecca Gilliland and was born July 21, 1873 at Browns Valley. He was united in marriage on November 22, 1899 to Miss Mary Elizabeth Gott who witht he following children survive: Lawrence Gilliland; Mrs. Clyde Krug; Mrs. James THompson of this city and one brother, John Gilliland of Waveland, one sister, Mrs. Scott Wray of this city. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and Knights of Pythias. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Wray on South Walnut Street on Monday afternoon at 2:00. - kbz

Charles B. Gilliland died at his home in Indianapolis on Saturday morning. He has been in poor health for a number of months but was thought to be improving. Funeral services were held at the home of his sister, Mrs. Scott Wray in Crawfordsville on Monday. The family lived here at one time and Mr. Gilliland was in business with his brother, John, in a livery stable that stood where Hubert Loudermill now lives. He is survived by his wife, who was a Miss Gott and by one son, Lawrence and two daughters, Mrs. Clyde King and Mrs. James Thomas. Lawrence attended the Waveland HS. - kbz

Charles Bennett Gilliland died at 7:30 o'clock Saturday morning at his home, 2204 North Central Avenue, Indianapolis, according to word reaching this city. He was born at Brown's Valley on July 21, 1873, the son of James G. and Rebecca Gilliland. On November 22, 1899, he was married to Miss Mary Elizabeth Gott, who with the following children survive: Lawrence Gilliland, Mrs. Clyde Krug, Mrs. James Thompson of this city and one brother, John Gilliland of Waveland, and one sister, Mrs. Scott Wray of this city. Mr. Gilliland was a member of the Baptist Church and belonged to the Knights of Pythias Lodge. The funeral will be held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Wray on South Walnut Street this city on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Elmore will have charge of the services.
