Nellie E. Gilkey, 86, died Saturday in Carmen Nursing Home. Mrs. Gilkey was a member of First Christian Church and was born Jan 12, 1892 at Waynetown, a daughter of George M. and Viola Maxwell Livengood. In October 1914, she married Manning J. Gilkey who preceded her in death. Survivors are two sons, Leslie L. Gilkey of Waukegan, Ill and George R. Gilkey of LaCrosse, Wis; three daughters, Mary M. Guintoli of Elmhurst, Ill; Marjorie J. Gilkey of Franklin and May Merrell of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Services were conducted today in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Saunders officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
