ROACHDALE — William Finley Giger, 88, died at 6:35 a.m. Friday at the Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. He had been ill since Dec. 4.
He was born May 11, 1877, at Heltonville, the son of Thompson and Jane Norman Giger. He married Lelia Trotter Sept. 16, 1930. Giger was a farmer in the New Richmond area and spent 44 years near Barnard. He has lived with his daughter at Roachdale for the past 3 1/2 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by a son, Asa, of Indianapolis; a daughter, Jane Thompson of Roachdale; a brother, Sheraton of New Richmond; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Perkins Funeral Home at Roachdale. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be at North Salem. ---typed by Walt W
