WINGATE -- Mrs. Dollie Earl George, 88, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Small Nursing Home at Waynetown. She had been ill since April. A native of near Lexington, Ky., she was a daughter of Joe and Belle Ballinger Miller and was born June 23, 1877. She attended school in Kentucky. She had lived in the Wingate community since 1943. She married Emmet George on May 2, 1954. Mrs. George was a member of the Methodist Church at Lexington and attended here the Pleasant Hill Christian Church. Survivors include the husband; a daughter by a previous marriage, Mrs. Mary Frances McCann of Danville, Ill.; three granddaughters, Carolyn Lepper, Beulah Groce and Arlene Tony; two grandsons, Ralph and Alvin Buss, and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown, with Rev. Scott Comrie officiating and burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
