Sheridan L. Geiger, age 71, of New Richmond died at 11:15: p.m. Friday at the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis following an illness of two months. He was born January 3, 1895, in Bloomington to Thompson and Jane Norman Geiger. He was educated in North Salem, but had lived most of the past 60 years in the New Richmond community and had recently retired from farming. He was married to Dora Cochran on January 3, 1917 in New Richmond. Surviving are the wife; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Woodling of Louisville; a son, Gene Geiger of Phoenix; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held Monday at the Helms Funeral Home in Linden with Rev. H. Earl Moore and Rev. Richard Rehard officiating. Burial was in the New Richmond Cemetery. - kbz
