Robert E. Gegner, 68 of 143 Campbell St died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital. Mr. Gegner was retired after 46 years at RR Donnelley & Sons. He served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Elks Lodge at Crawfordsville. He attended the Waynetown Christian Church; was a graduate of Waynetown HS. He was born Oct 19, 1925, at Hillsboro to Charles Luce and Elizabeth Jane Ball Gegner. He married Mary Jean Scott Oct 4, 1953 at Crawfordsville. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Marcus Scott; two daughters, Robin Gegner Wafford and Lisa Ann Holtson; three sisters, Vera Shade of Hillsboro, Mary Probst of Plymouth and Charlotte Hudson of Crawfordsville; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. The funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Maurer officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. -- kbz
