Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Gegner, 85, of 606 Whitlock Ave, died at 7:25 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital after an illness of two months. She had been a member of the Christian Union Church near Waynetown before moving to Crawfordsville. Here she was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and WSCS. She was born near Waynetown May 11, 1882, a daughter of Ben and Mary Bell Ball. She married Charles L. Gegner November 16, 1902 in Wingate. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Vera Shade of Hillsboro, Mrs. Mary Probst of Plymouth and Miss Ilah Gegner, Mrs. Edith Ford and Mrs. Charlotte Hudson all of Crawfordsville; three sons, Harold, Byron and Robert all of Crawfordsville; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Grayce Ball of Dayton and Mrs. Sadie Moore of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1926; two children, Theresa and Myron; two sisters, Mrs. Hanna Switzer and Mrs. Ella McCarty, and five brothers, Will, John, Charles, James and Frank Ball. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Keith Carlile and Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial in Waynetown Cemetery. - kbz
