Waynetown, Oct 25 - Charles L. Gegner passed away this morning at 2:30 o'clock after an illness of one year with heart trouble. Mr. Gegner was born in Hamilton, Ohio on Oct 7, 1877. His parents moved to Waynetown when he was 3 years old and when he was 8 they moved to Hillsboro on a farm two miles north of town where he since resided. He was married to Elizabeth J. Ball Nov 18, 1902 (? on day). He was a member of the Christian Union Church southeast of Waynetown and also a member of Red Man's Lodge. He is survived by his wife, 8 children: Harold, Byron, Robert, Vera, Ila, Edith and Charlotte at home; one sister, Mrs. Edna Cedars of near Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian Church at Hillsboro with interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery; services in charge of Rev. O.J. McMullen of Shelbyville. - kbz
