Thus has the Savior taken unto himself one of the purest and sweetest flowers from our midst. Joseph E. Garver was born February 12, 1886 and died of typhoid fever April 5, 1898 after an illness of a few days, aged twelve years, one month and twenty three days. He leaves a mother, stepfather, three brothers, two sisters, and a host of friends to mourn his loss. He was ever an obedient son, a lovable brother and friend, and a studious pupil of a sunny disposition, always having a kind and cheery greeting for everyone. He loved to attend Sunday school and church and although he had not been connected with any church we feel assured his heart was in his Savior’s keeping. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Williams with interment at Stonebraker Cemetery. -s
