Mrs. Minnie Garver, 72, died at 11:10 p.m. Friday at the Westbrook Nursing Home where she has been a patient for six weeks. Mrs. Garver was a resident of Crawfordsville for 28 years. Born Jan. 12, 1889, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Alfred and Delpha Sowder Myers. On Oct. 19, 1904, she was married to Manford Garver, who preceded her in death in August 1953. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Crawfordsville. Survivors include two sons, Sam Garver and James Barton Garver, both of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Hunter of Crawfordsville; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Craver and Mrs. Nellie Fruits, both of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Frona Motherhead of Hollandsburg, Ind., and Mrs. Opal Keller of Wallace; three brothers, Jim Myers of Jackson, Mich., Willie Myers of Attica and Robert Myers of Hollandsburg; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Dec. 26, at 11 a.m. at the McCloud Funeral Home. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery with Rev. John R. Servies officiating.
