Mrs. Myrtie L. Garner, 84, died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday at her home at 717 S. Walnut St. after an illness of several months. She was born Nov. 29, 1873, near Advance, the daughter of Perry and Mary Piew Richardson. She married John A. Garner June 16, 1903. He died Feb. 19, 1958. Mrs. Garner was a member of East Christian Church at Advance. Mr. and Mrs. Garner farmed in Boone County. After retirement in 1948 they moved to Crawfordsville. Surviving are a son, Sherman Garner of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Charles Richardson of Advance and Ollie Richardson of Thorntown and a grandson, Robert Garner of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt and son Funeral Home with Rev Eddie Bamish officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Jamestown. Friends may pay their respectts (sic) at the funeral home.
