BROWNSBURG—Mrs. Bernice Garner, 75, Brownsburg, the daughter of the late Rev. Guy Tremaine of Waynetown, died Monday in a local nursing home. Mrs. Garner taught school for 33 years spending 32 of those years in the Brownsburg elementary schools. A graduate of Waynetown High School, she was later graduated from the former Blake's Teachers College at Indianapolis. She was a member of the United Methodist Church here. Born Jan. 23, 1903, at Lebanon, she was the daughter of Guy and Rebecca Weatherly Tremaine. Survivors include a son, John of Brownsburg; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Logsdon of Waynetown; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Jones & Matthew Mortuary here with the Rev. Clifford Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-9 p.m. Wednesday.
