Waynetown, Jan 14 - Charles Garland, life long resident of Wayne township died at his home Friday morning at 6:30 o'clock. Death was caused by infirmities of old age and complications. He had been in failing health for three years and seriously ill several weeks.
Mr. Garland would have been 72 years of age late this month. He was born on a farm two and a half miles south of Waynetown, the youngest son of Adam and Elizabeth Garland. There were 16 children in the family all of whom with the parents, preceded Mr. Garland in death.
The deceased was never married. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. OC Watson of Crawfordsville. During the past six years, Mr. and Mrs. George Keller have lived with Mr. Garland and have cared for him during his long illness
The funeral will be held from the home here Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. OC Overman of the Baptist Church will be in charge and burial will be made in the family lot at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kz
