Charles Wesley Gant, 72 years old, died at his home in Monroe, Lauramie township, Tuesday morning at 3 o’clock after two weeks’ illness. Death was caused by kidney trouble. Mr. Gant had lived for many years in the community and had a large circle of friends. He is survived by his widow and eight children; Mrs. Glen Hall, Thorntown; Mrs. Harley Kirk and Mrs. Rollie Hagar, Bowers; Mrs. Elmer Rothenberger, Cyclone; Mrs. Harry Hiatt, Darlington; Mrs. Ray Gordon, Monroe; Edward Gant, Stockwell and Earl Gant, Monroe. He also leaves a brother, John C. Gant, of Stockwell. The funeral will be conducted from the Monroe church Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial at Monroe cemetery. – thanks to Lena H
