LINDEN — Mrs. Helen Arnette Gamble, 62, of Rt. 8, Lafayette, died at 11:45 Friday at the Home Hospital in Lafayette. She had been ill for the last two years and hospitalized for three weeks. Mrs. Gamble was born July 12, 1904, in Montgomery County where she spent most of her life. In 1924 she married Ferdinand Hedrick who died in 1938. On May 18, 1945, she was married in Crawfordsville to Elmer Gamble, who survives her. She attended Yountsville School and was a member of the Jackson Heights Methodist Church and the Jackson Heights Home Economics Club. Survivors besides the husband are a daughter, Mrs. John Korb of Lafayette; a son, Marion E. Hedrick of Crawfordsville; three stepsons, Ancil E. Gamble and Lawrence Gamble of Lafayette and Elmer Gamble Jr., of Romney; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Helms Funeral Home in Linden. Rev. Richard Bowman will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
