Crawfordsville – Mrs. Ruth V. Galloway, 67, Crawfordsville, mother of Mrs. Donald Walton of Lafayette died in Culver Hospital here Tuesday after an illness of several months. Surviving with Mrs. Walton are another daughter, Mrs. William Dryer of Willard, Oh and two sisters, Mrs. Ina Williams of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Rhoda Craig of Middletown, O. – kbz

Mrs. Ruth V. Galloway, 67, of Crawfordsville , died at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday at Culver Hospital. She had been ill several months. Mrs. Galloway was born Aug.7, 1893 in Nebraska, the daughter of William A. and Laura Dooley Skelton. In 1914 she married Charles Galloway. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Rosary Society. She ran a beauty shop in Crawfordsville from 1933 to 1959, when she retired. Mrs. Galloway is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William Dryer, Willard, Ohio and Mrs. Donald Walton, Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Ina Williams, Crawfordsville and Mrs. Rhoda Craig, Middletown Ohio; three grandsons and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard's Church. Rev. Kenneth Razcek will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Hunt and Son Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth V. Galloway were conducted Thursday morning in St. Bernard;s Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth Raczek officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Calvary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Ernest Beebe, Freeman Martin, William Brennan, Ed Ross, John Slattery and Kenneth Lipp. Mrs. Galloway, widow of Charles Galloway, died in Culver Hospital Tuesday morning.
