Mrs. Mary Galloway, wife of Andrew Galloway, died this morning at five o’clock at her home one half mile north of Smartsburg. She was another victim of the grip, this malignant disease having developed in her case into typhoid pneumonia. Mrs. Galloway was the daughter of Hiram Mote and was born fifty-two years ago on the same farm where she died. She was the mother of two children, one of whom survives, Mrs. Wm Smith, of Smartsburg. She was one of the sterling women of our county and her death causes much sadness outside of her immediate circle of friends. The funeral will occur Friday morning at 11 o’clock at the Baptist Church of Smartsburg and will be conducted by Rev. S. W. Brown, of this city.
