Lowell M. Galloway, 66 of 311 Debbie Lane in Williamsport, died Friday, April 1, 1977 at Lake view Medical Center where he had been a patient two weeks. Mr. Galloway retired from farming in 1970. He was a former member and president of the Covington School board, chairman of the Troy Township Farm Bureau for three years and a past member of the Knights of Pythias and the Fountain Masonic Lodge in Covington. He attended Salem United Methodist Church near Covington. Born Aug 21, 1910 in the Salem neighborhood east of Covington, he was a son of Freeman and Rose E. Dunbar Galloway. On July 26, 1936 in Sterling, Ind. he married Burnis I. Gremore. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Steve of Lafayette, Ind., and Gale of Danville; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Dorris) Kagels and Mrs. Charles (Darleen) Swingle of Covington Route 3; a sister, Mrs. Oscar (Millie) Hughes of Attica, Ind and eight grandchildren. A granddaughter and three brothers preceded him in death. Services at the Salem United Methodist Church east of Covington with the Rev. Wayne Hoover officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington. The family has asked that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Salem United Methodist Church. – jlr
