Virgil M. Galey died Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. BV Galey on the corner of Main & Water Streets. The body has been taken to his own home on Water Street where the funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The exercises will be under the auspices of the Elks of which he was a member with some assistence by the Tribe of Ben Hur of which order he was a member and an employee. Dr. HL Nave of Rockville will conduct the services with the assistance of Dr. DB Duncan. The pall bearers will be George Harney, Will Steele and WB Ramey, representing the office force of the Tribe of Ben Hur and WE Coons, Dr. RH Gerard and CW Iliff, representing the Elks. The burial will be at Oak Hill. Mr. Galey was born in Crawfordsville in August 1865 and with the exception of a few years spent in Ypsilanti Mi and Toledo O in the employee of the US Express Company has always lived here. He returned to this city about 8 years ago to take a position with the Tribe of Ben Hur. He was only recently elected a member of the Republican City Central Committee and was popular in a large circle of friends. Besides his parents he leaves a wife [Della M. Gerhardt] and four small children ranging from 2 to 14. He was also a brother of Mrs. FL Snyder. - kbz
