Mrs. Pauline F. Galey, daughter of Henry and Isabelle Armstrong was born Feb 11, 1843 died Jan 7, 1900. She was married to Benjamin M. Galey Nov 3, 1863. To them were born 5 children: Fisher B. Galey; Mrs. Frank Seybold; Henry L. Galey, deceased; Mrs. Leslie Carrington and Sallie may Galey. She also leaves a husband, mother, sister and five brothers. She united with the Christian Church at the age of 18 and always lived a faithful, consistent Christian life, and died with the full assurance of a better life to come. We mourn her not for we expect to meet her in a better world. She was a loving and affectionate mother and a dutiful wife. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. WH Brown of Greencastle at the family residence south of Browns Valley at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, Jan 9, 1900. - kbz

Mrs. Pauline Galey died January 7, 1900, aged 56 years and 11 months. Her death was the result of dropsy. She was a loving mother and a faithful wife, and leaves a husband and four children, besides brothers, sister, mother and many relatives to mourn her loss. The funeral was held at the home conducted by Rev. Brown, and she was laid to rest at Freedom Cemetery.

“Browns Valley News” – Mrs. Paulina Galey died Jan 7, 1900 her age if she had lived till next month would have been 57 she had the dropsy. She was a loving and faithful wife and leaves a husband and four children, one sister, four brothers and an aged mother to mourn her loss. Her funeral was at the house, conducted by Rev.
