Benjamin M. Galey died just before midnight on Thursday night of last week at the home of his son, Fisher Galey at Browns Valley. Mr. Galey had been in a critical condition for several weeks, following a paralytic stroke. Funeral services were held on Sunday morning at the ME Church in Browns Valley. Interment at Freedom. He was born May 6, 1842 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Galey. In 1864 he married Paulin Armstrong now dead. There are three living children: Fisher Galey of Browns Valley and Mrs. Leslie Carrington and Miss Sallie Galey of Indianapolis. The first wife of Frank Seybold now dead was his daughter. Mr. Galey was again married in 1904 to Lizzie Patton who died five years later. After that event he made his home with Fisher Galey. - transcribed by Karen Bazzani Zach, an 'ol Waveland resident
