Veedersburg, July 13 – Lloyd Furr, 38 years old of New Richmond was killed and three other persons injured seriously when the car in which they were riding struck a bridge railing on US 41, two miles north of Sterline Fountain County early this morning. Those injured were taken to Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where Lawrence Furr, 36, brother of the dead man was reported suffering from shock; Robert Furr, 16, a broken right leg and Donald, 14, a fractured right arm. The boys are Lloyd Furr’s sons. Coroner Charles Fisher of Fountain County said Robert had been driving and that the party had been out all night. He said he believed the boy was sleepy at the time of the accident. The father and his two sons had been recently residents of Attica but had moved to New Richmond to live with Lloyd’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Furr. In addition to the brother and two sons, survivors include two other children, two brothers and four sisters. - kbz
