Mrs. Maymie M. Parker Funk, 74, died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital where she had been a patient since May 3. She was born and reared in New Richmond.  She spent most of her life in Lafayette and lived at 1705 Arcadia Drive. She was married in 1926 in New Richmond to Charles J. Parker who died in 1949. In 1963, she was married in Lafyaette to Forest “Bud” Funk. He was a retired employee of Ross Gear Division TRW and died in 1976.  Mrs. Funk was a 25-year-member of VFW Post 1154 Auxiliary. Surviving are three sons Don and Bill Parker both of Lafayette and David Parker of Melrose Park, Ill; five daughters, Mrs. Don (Georgia) Gillis of Newtown, Mrs. Leonard (Imogene) Schrader of Indianapolis, Mrs. Barney (Shirley) Gillis of Lafayette; Mrs. James (Sharon) Simon of Newark, Texas and Mrs. Pauline Day of Noblesville; and two brothers, Dallas Parker of Wildwood, Fla and Byron Parker of Noblesville. - kbz
