Friends here were shocked on Saturday to hear of the accidental death of Oscar Fullenwider which happened the previous evening about 11 o'clock. Mr. Fullenwider was a freight conductor on the Big Four and was taking his train east. While a mile beyond Anderson and walking on top of the train, he fell between the cars. It was storming at the time and it is supposed his lantern became extinguished. The head brakeman saw him fall and stopped the train. Both of his legs were crushed and he died before a physician could reach him. Mr. Fullenwider was the son of William and Nancy Jane Fullenwider. He was born in Waveland 51 years ago. He is survived by his mother, the wife, two brothers and one sister. He had been in the employ of the railroad 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Fullenwider, SW Fullenwider, Moxley Fullenwider, Mrs. Jennie Hanna and Will Milligan attended the funeral at Indianapolis Monday. - kbz
