ANNIE POGUE FULLEN

Mrs. Annie FULLEN, relict of Samuel Fullen late of this county died at her home 3 miles north of Crawfordsville on the morning of the 19th at 10 minutes past 9 at the advanced age of 80 years one month and four days. The funeral services were held at the homestead on the afternoon of the 20th, Rev. Hugh lamont officiating. Remains were interred in Oak Hill Cem. Mrs. Fullen was the oldest member and last representative of George Pogue, the adventurer whose life is so intimatley interwoven with the early history of Indianapolis. She was born in SC July 15, 1791 and was married to Samuel Fullen near Indianapolis .... (sorry bottom is cut off)

Note: Mary Anna Pogue Fullen - was called Annie - buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville, Indiana. She was the daughter of George and Cassandra Ann Paine. Born in Greenville County, SC (according to findagrave.com) 14 July 1795 and died August 1877 Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana but the obituary is dated 25 September and says she passed away on the 19th. Samuel Fullen was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Davis Fullen (FAG) and was born 22 Jan 1799 VA and died in Crawfordsville April 7, 1876.
