Crawfordsville, Ind. - H. Foster Fudge, 68-year-old president of the Crawfordsvile Journal-Review, died Monday night of a heart attack while sitting in his automobile in front of his sister's home. He had been in the newspaper business most of his life since his graduation from Wabash College in 1913 and was former publisher of the Journal-Review. He was born in Ladoga. He became publisher of the newspaper in 1943 and turned the duties over to his son-in-law, W. Addington Vance last year. He then became president of the company and remained active in the opertaion. He was at his office s usual Tuesday. Survivors are his only child, Mrs. Vance; the sister, and two grandchildren. He wan an honorary trustee of Wabash College, a director of the Elston Bank and Trust Co., a past president of the Crawfordsville Chamber of Commerce, a Mason and a Methodist. Fudge had been with the Crawfordsville newspaper and one of its predecessors since 1924. The Journal and Review merged in 1929 and he remained as business manager of the new paper.
