Alamo, June 20 - Samuel F. (sic - L) Fruits, 73, a life resident of this community, died early Thursday morning at his home in Alamo. He had been ill three weeks with a heart aliment. Born January 8, 1873, near Alamo, Mr. Fruits was the son of Michael and Mary Fruits, pioneer Montgomery county residents. He was married February 17, 1900 to Katie Krout in Crawfordsville. Mr. Fruits was a member of the Christian church, Masonic lodge and Order of Eastern Star of Alamo. Surviving are the widow, four sons, Harry Fruits of Garfield, I.P. Fruits of Crawfordsville, and Burl and Forrest Fruits of Alamo, a daughter, Mrs. Carl Davis of Waynetown, 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Alamo Christian Church, with burial at the Alamo cemetery. The Rev. John Servies will officiate.
