Waynetown, Ind March 19 – Noah Fruits, 80, of five miles south of Waynetown, died at his home, Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock after an illness of five years. He had been seriously ill for two weeks. The deceased was a life-long resident of this community, having been born Dec 16, 1852 in the same house in which he died. He was the son of John and Rebecca Albertson Fruits and on Dec 10, he married Miss Susan E. Lewis, who died four years ago. He was a member of the Ridge Farm United Brethren Church, near Waynetown. Surviving are four sons: Merrit Jay of Waynetown; Fred at home; and Delmar K. and Charles both of New Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted from the Waynetown Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock with burial in the Waynetown Masonic cemetery. – kbz
