Morton L. Fruits, 70, former detective was buried today in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, after services in Myers Mortuary there. He died Tuesday in his home north of Lebanon.
During his youth, Mr. Fruits, a native of Boone county, joined the Pinkerton Detective Agency at Bayton O. From 1939 to 1944 he managed the agency in Indianapolis. Then he returned to Lebanon where he operated a service station until six years ago. At one time he was night watchman for the Deipark Manufacturing Co. Lebanon.
Mr. Fruits was a 45 year member of the Masonic Lodge at French Lick, and a member of the Centenary Methodist Church at Lebanon. Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Minnie Fruits. – thanks to Kim H
