Mary L. Fruits, 76 of 900 S. Washington St died Sunday (May 29) in her home. She was educated in Crawfordsville schools. Mrs. Fruits was born Jan 28, 1912 at Crawfordsville to Harv and Lida J. Steele Lewellyn. She was married to James Fruits at Danville, Ill. Survivors include six sons, John Michael of Greenwood, Jerry of Indianapolis; Fred, Tom and Joe of Crawfordsville and Ron of Loveland, Colo; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Anna Jean) Moser of Waveland and Nancy Herbers of Orlando, FL; a brother, John Lewellyn of Phoenix, AZ; 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her husband, a brother and a grandchild are deceased. Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Powers Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace McDonald officiating. Burial in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery, Wallace. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
