Fruits - Mary Keys

Mrs. Mary L. Fruits, 85, who resided in the Gravelly Run neighborhood near Crawfordsville a number of years ago, died at one o'clock Friday morning at her home in Stringtown, three miles north of Lebanon, after an illness that dated back to last December. Mrs. Fruits, the daughter of John and Francis Keys, was born in Boone county, December 19, 1857. With the exception of eight years in Montgomery county, she had resided all of her lifetime in Boone county. She was a member of the Lebanon Methodist church. Mrs. Fruits was married many years ago to Jonathan Fruits, now deceased. She is survived by two sons, M.L. Fruits, living north of Lebanon, and R. G. Fruits of Antioch. Mrs. Fruits was the last of a family of four children. The Rev. Oakel F. Hall of Purdue university, formerly a resident of Gravelly Run neighborhood will have charge of the funeral service to be held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock in the Bratton Brothers funeral home in Lebanon. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
