Waynetown news – The body of Jonathan Fruits a former resident of this vicinity who died at the home of his son, VE Fruits at Ambia was brought here Friday for interment in the Masonic cemetery. The widow of Mr. Fruits has been an invalid in the home of her son for some time. -kbz

Ambia, Ind Feb 26 – Jonathan Fruits of Crawfordsville died here last night at the home of a son, the Rev. VV (sic VE) Fruits, pastor of the ME Church.  Death was due to heart trouble.  Mr. and Mrs. Fruits came here for a visit several months ago. Born in Starke County Indiana April 22, 1854, he is survived by his widow and three sons: Walter J. and Ollie C. Fruits of Crawfordsville and Rev. Fruits. Funeral services will be held at Crawfordsville Friday morning at 9 o’clock.  Burial in Waynetown Cemetery. - kbz
