HOWARD FRUITS

Howard FRUITS, 78, died at his home on Crawfordsville RFD 3, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock following an illness of almost two weeks. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Born March 2, 1860, near Alamo, he was the son of Michael and Mary Fruits. He was married twice, the first time to Clara Hunter. After her death, he was married to Alice Garver (Stonebraker). He belonged to the Union Chapel Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lavancie Swank; and Mrs. Martha Scott; a son, Samuel Fruits; three stepchildren, Manford and Harry Garver and Mrs. Flo Zachery; a brother, Samuel Fruits and a number of grandchildren; great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home in this city with Rev. John Servies in charge. Burial will be in Waynetown.
