George K. FRUITS, a well known farmer of Alamo was found dead in his barn lot on Sunday afternoon. He was 92 years old and a highly respected citizen. - kbz

Alamo, Oct 18 - George K. Fruits, an aged farmer of this vicinity, was found dead by his grandson two miles north of Alamo yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Apoplexy is given as the cause of the sudden death. Mr. Fruits the son of John and Rebecca Keys Fruits was born Feb 11, 1846. He was married to miss Rhoda Shafer Feb 16, 1888. While he was not a member of any particular church he was a regular attendant and was a member of the Masonic fraternity for 43 years; his lodge is located at Alamo. He is survived by his widow, five children, Omer Fruits who lives at home; Ida and Lydia Fruits also live at home; Jesse who lives in Crawfordsville and Mrs. Effie Smith of Roachdale and one brother, Noah Fruits. Mr. Fruits was one of the most beloved citizens of this community. He was a good man in every respect. His death is the cause of considerable sorrow among those who knew him. The funeral will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the masons in charge. The Rev. PO Duncan of Waynetown Baptist Church will assist in the ceremony. - kbz
