George Fruits, a former citizen of Ripley Township for many years, but for 20 years a resident of North Judson, Ind died Tuesday and will be buried Friday afternoon at 2.  He was 87 years old and the son of George Fruits, one of the earliest settlers of Ripley Township who lived to the ripe old age of 114 years 7 months 4 days. He was probably the oldest man that ever lived in this county.  His son George and the subject of this sketch care for his aged father for years before the latter died. Michael Fruits son of Yountville and Catherine Barlow of Sims, Ind are brother and sister of the deceased. Jonathan Fruits of this city, Ambrose Fruits of Waynetown, George A. Fruits of Covington and Bert, Ezekial and Mattie Fruits, all of North Judson are the surviving children of the deceased. Jonathan Fruits of this city, Michael Fruits of Yountsville and Mr. and Mrs. Noah Fruits of near Alamo will attend the funeral. - kbz
