Frank Fruits, 54, former resident of this city, died at 6 p.m. Sunday at Community Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Fruits, who lived here until 1943, had been employed as a truck driver by Walt’s Terminal, Inc., for the past 20 years. Born Feb. 4, 1911, at Alamo, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Fruits. He was married at Garfield on Christmas Day, 1936, to Genevieve Guinn. The survivors include the widow; two brothers, Donald Fruits of Russellville and Floyd Earl Fruits of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Nancy Shook of Kokomo, Jane Carter of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Betty Walls of California, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Moore & Kirk Northeast Chapel, 2530 N. Station St., in Indianapolis, at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
